Physical Health &
Pain Management
I have experience working with a range of physical health problems including: pain related to physical health problems, back pain, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), pain related physical injuries e.g. road traffic accidents. I look at not just the health issue itself, but the whole context of the illness in the life of the person and the people surrounding them.
Both psychological and physical health problems don’t only affect one person, but also their family, friends and colleagues. Indeed, the family may be the main source of emotional and physical support for the individual.
Physical health problems can lead to depression and anxiety. A typical response can be disbelief, despair, and a sense of lack of direction in life. But for some, the advent of a physical problem can prompt the desire to make life changes – and I can offer support in making them.
If you have physical health problems you probably have already seen or continue to see medical professionals. I will liaise with other professionals involved in your care to provide comprehensive care.
